Overview
Nox Sky is hiring a Director of Photography/Videographer to work with our Producer to lead our Los Angeles, CA, film production team.
Nox Sky works with professional sports teams to create ongoing short-form documentary films published on the Nox Sky platform. The Nox Sky platform is integrated into team mobile apps and web properties, where the films are published and syndicated on other social video platforms. The platform allows for fan engagement in film series featuring one or more team players and team organization members.
Nox Sky’s film production team is based in Los Angeles, CA.
Roles and Responsibilities
Pre-Production
The DP (Director of Photography) will work closely in pre-production with the Producer, developing relationships with the sports teams, the individuals in the organization, and the athletes, while assisting with story writing, production planning, and navigating the unique personalities of athletes we will film.
- Meet with teams, athletes, marketing/pr departments with the producer for understanding and alignment of goals
- Work with the producer in crafting story arcs, screenwriting, and creative direction
- Work with the producer on logistics and scheduling for all future production
- Build relationships with the teams’ individuals and internal departments
Production
The DP will work with the producer to ensure a smooth start-to-finish production process. The DP will set up and prepare all equipment, operate the camera, and help the producer direct lean production teams.
- Execute planned logistics and production
- Operate and record the film
- Work with a crew to assist with any other equipment (audio, lighting)
- Be sensitive and aware of the unique individuals that are being filmed
- Maintain a safe environment and prioritize the comfort and interest of the athletes being filmed
- Utilize industry best practices in filming, security, and redundancies
Post Production
The DP will work closely with the producer to do initial video editing and color grading and, for specialty needs, will work with a video editor to execute the vision.
- Basic video editing, color grading, and sound/music editing
- Work with the Producer on iterating on the video editing
- If specialty video editing is needed, ensure prompt and proper asset delivery to the video editor
- Work with Producer to review and provide feedback to the video editor
Innovation
One of the main focuses of the DP will be innovating on the production of our unique short documentary films, by breaking the rules of traditional crew, equipment, and production setups, by utilizing cutting-edge equipment and methods to find a sweet spot that we will need to succeed in the long-term.
- Work on utilizing different tools to reduce the overhead of crew and equipment
- Proactively test, try, and experiment with technology, equipment, and processes to discover new and unprecedented ways of creating highly engaging films.
- Maintain clear goals of reducing footprint during production, furthering the ability to be more unobtrusive, and keeping a pulse on how we can constantly iterate and be better.
The producer will be located in the Greater Los Angeles, California area, able to travel to meet with teams, travel with the teams, and be on-location for shoots.
Requirements
- Experience in camera operation, videography, audio, lighting

What You’ll Be Up To:
- Manage a large and diverse team of technicians and specialists

- Be on call to assist with medical or safety emergencies for direct reports.
- Oversee direct reports crew perks and ensure their compliance with all rules and regulations
- Audit and submit direct reports work hours to people and culture, as needed.

- Write regular voyage reports on your areas of the sailor experience, as deemed necessary by reporting structure

Superpowers Required:
- Minimum of five years professional experience in live event, broadcast or theatre industries

Overview
We’re looking to enhance our creative team by adding an experienced Senior Packaging/Production Designer. This role will be instrumental in leading and mentoring a small team of 2-3 packaging/production designers while also developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in all our production deliverables. The right candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of print production in the CPG sector, strong proficiency with current design software, and excellent team leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of packaging/production designers, ensuring that all work aligns with our brand guidelines and industry best practices.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and high quality across all production deliverables.
- Produce and supervise the creation of multiple versions of product packaging or collateral using InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

- 7-10 years of experience as a packaging/production designer, with a significant portion of that experience in the CPG sector. Prior experience in a leadership role is preferred.

Attached to the Manager of our GALERIE ORLINSKI in Miami, your missions will be the following:
• Welcome customers, provide correct and clear information about our Artists and piece of Art with a high level of service
• Support the team on administrative tasks
• Help the team achieve sales targets set by management
• Be comfortable with the sale of high value works of Art
• Support the internal organization of the Gallery – Light art handling might be requested
• Actively participate in event planning in collaboration with the team and the Marketing department
• Support the daily upkeep of the Gallery
• Feeding of social networks
• Participation in marketing development and brand image
• Participation in management meetings
The training you will receive:

Responsibilities:
· Must have the ability to receive client input and summarize it into a creative design presentation or script
· Be comfortable with strategic and comprehensive thinking through copywriting, storytelling, and verbal communication
· Full ability to write creative concepts and formalize deck structure and presentations
· Work with client’s objectives and goals for projects and develop strategic plans
· Ability to oversee creative deliverable on projects: Design, themes, and input on Scenic, Video, Digital, and Talent
· Collaborate on creating content and upholding client expectations
· Lead creative project team; graphics, editors, illustrators, and animators in executing concepts through to completion
· Work within the scope of budget and timeline provided by the executive producers
· Accountable for the overall success of all creative executions
Preferred Qualification:
· 6-10 years of copy writing, strategy, and leadership at a design studio, marketing agency, or equivalent, preferred
· Base understanding of foundational design principles
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Visual design, identity, storytelling, branding, and flawless execution
· Extensive experience leading design, production, and agency partner teams
· Communicating and interfacing with clients about design concepts, principles, criteria, guidelines, and goals
· Ability to prioritize/manage multiple complex projects in a dynamic growth environment
· Collaborating with other design leaders and practitioners to push the limits to foresee the long-term bigger picture and needs, while working within constraints
· Experience working directly in the experiential marketing field is a plus
