He is working on a scroll when he receives a message via carrier pigeon from his old friend, The Astrologer, who gives him long-awaited news. He joins The Astrologer from India and the Mystic from Nubia on a journey to Israel, where they are feted by King Herod. Unaware of Herod’s true intentions, they learn the truth through a vision from the Mystic and proceed to sneak out of Herod’s palace. They travel to Bethlehem, discover Mary and her baby in a cave, and prostrate themselves before them.
