[FIYERO UNDERSTUDY – TENOR 2]

Characters are male (cis, transgender, or nonbinary), 20s, height of 5’11” or taller, any ethnicity. Fantastic Tenor 2 singing voice and strong movement ability. To appear in the onstage ensemble and understudy the principal role of FIYERO (A striking prince with a philosophy of “Dancing Through Life.” A wealthy, dangerous party boy who at first is attracted to GLINDA, the “good” witch. Initially he is shallow and self-absorbed; however, his growing relationship with ELPHABA, the “wicked” witch, prompts him to reexamine his way of thinking) and the featured ensemble track of WITCH’S FATHER/OZIAN OFFICIAL. Using the FIYERO Packet: Please read the first side, using a reader offstage. Please sing the two songs, using the accompaniment tracks provided. There are also plunk tracks to help you learn the material.

Using the ENSEMBLE Packet: Please sing the TENOR 1 and TENOR 2 line (“No one mourns the wicked, wicked, wicked”) in full chest voice in two separate takes. Please use the accompaniment track provided. There are also plunk tracks to help you learn the material. (Note, this track primarily sings Tenor 2, but does cover the Tenor 1 so we are looking for actors who are able to sing this high material in a full voice.)

Broke and Bones, the multi-award-winning production company behind the TV series Black MIRROR, CUNK ON and DEATH TO 2020, and DEATH TO 2021, is working with SHAHEEN BAIG CASTING search for the following:

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• 3 Children, boys at different ages to play the same character.
• One child, a boy aged 8- 12 years with a lived experience of having a lim difference; someone with real presence, cheeky and self-assured with a smile that lights up the room.
• We also need two more children with a limb difference to play the same young boy at different ages:
  – 6-18 months old
  – 3-4 years old

No acting experience is required, and support will be given throughout the process.

The full filming schedule is 11 weeks in late summer 2023; the child will only be needed on particular days and not required to attend every day/weeks

These acting roles will be paid.

Please have open availability during this time as dates vary throughout the time period above.
The rate for extras on this production is $100 for 10hrs of work which you will receive in the form of a check in the mail 2 to 3 weeks after filming. Payments will be by check through the mail. All information for the check will be filled out on a voucher the parent submits upon the minor’s arrival to set. Minors will be on set for 10 hours or less.

Minors will receive a work number from the state which is necessary to be hired as an extra.

Once all information is received, the booking process begins.

During booking, someone from casting will call and confirm the minors and parents are still available for filming.

They then will receive more information pertaining to the shoot with info such as date, time, location, Covid testing protocol and wardrobe instructions.
