OVERVIEW

The Director of PR and Influencer is responsible for owning strategy for global public relations agencies, influencer marketing and external partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a background in beauty, fashion, or related field — as well as deep experience in developing and executing local and international campaigns.

In this role, you will oversee strategy for paid and organic influencer marketing, including but not limited to negotiating contracts, developing long term strategies across all markets, briefing talent, and tracking and reporting on campaign performance. This role will also oversee all influencer events, mailers, and related touch points — managing each from ideation to completion.

Furthermore, you will own Summer Fridays’ public relations strategy across multiple markets in partnership with each local agency. You will understand the nuances of each market and be able to create campaigns that will drive the business in each respective locale.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee ideation and execution of all global influencer marketing campaigns (paid and organic) based upon global marketing calendar and channel objectives
  • Manage all global public relations agencies, ensuring strategies are tailored to each market/retailer and to brand standards
  • Manage the Assistant Manager, Influencer Marketing on all international sponsored content and micro-influencer campaigns
  • Manage all influencer/editor mailers and in-kind giftings to support each respective brand objective — including but not limited to new product launches, core assortment, merchandise, and key marketing campaigns
  • Lead all influencer event activations — from ideation to execution — ensuring objectives are met and activation is within budget
  • Track and analyze campaign performance, providing insights to the broader marketing team monthly
  • Manage contracts and invoicing for all sponsored content and public relations activities
  • Manage and lead any brand or founder visits to market 
  • Lead trend research on Instagram and TikTok for future sponsored content
  • Oversee ongoing identification and qualification of new influencer talent
  • Identify and manage external partnership opportunities — including but not limited to co-branded partnerships and events in partnership with Brand Marketing
  • Keep the team up-to-date on influencer trends — rising stars, emerging/best practices
  • Identify areas of innovation in influencer marketing for the brand to test
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Social and Content team members on overall social media goals
  • Oversee interns as needed

REQUIREMENTS

  • 8+ years of experience in influencer marketing, public relations or talent management
  • BA/BS degree in Communication, Marketing or similar field
  • Familiarity with influencer and campaign measurement best practices
  • Experience crafting creative briefs, negotiating contracts, and managing budgets
  • Deep knowledge of social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), trends and content development
  • Understanding of influencers across international markets

EDITING

You’ll turn all that raw footage into viral content using Final Cut. You’ll need a keen eye for the ‘big aha’ moments and be able to condense long form footage into short, meaningful clips.

You’ll also need a fast and effective editing style for high volume output – if you haven’t edited before we can teach you but you’ll need a can-do PROACTIVE approach at all times.
